Newcastle District Group
The Newcastle District Group of the Australian Plants Society is an active group that meets at the Hunter Wetlands Centre.

Meetings
Our meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every Month (except January).
December is an informal XMAS gathering.
People start arrivng at our meetings at around 7:00 p.m. with the formalities starting at 7:30 p.m.
Visitors are always welcome out our meetings.
Highlights of our meetings:-
- Plants (seedlings) for sale to members
- Raffle plants
- Plant ID segment
- Item of the month
- Outstanding guest speakers - (See Speakers page for upcoming speakers)
- A quick run down of upcoming events.
- Supper and chat.
Activities
Some of the activities of our group include:-
- MIdweek group that has outings such as garden visits and bushwalks.
- Weekend activities also include garden visits and bushwalks.
- Maintenance of the Hunter Wetlands Centre
- Maintenance of the Parry Place Garden at the Hunter Regional Botanic Gardens
- Propogation of plants.
